ScriptX 64-bit Edition

ScriptX 64-bit Edition brings ScriptX to the increasingly popular world of 64-bit computing. The deployment of ScriptX 64-bit Edition brings the following advantages:

For 64-bit server systems, no requirement to create a COM+ application to bridge between 64-bit IIS and 32-bit ScriptX, easing deployment and maintenance.
Brings the potential for printing very large memory footprint documents with the Internet Explorer (64-bit) client browser.

On all Windows 64-bit systems, the default version of Internet Explorer is the 32-bit version, you should only install ScriptX 64-bit Edition if you have a particular need for this edition, i.e. you are looking for one of the advantages above.

Installation

Installation of ScriptX 64-bit Edition is via an MSI installer only. The MSI should be run from the command line, Windows Explorer or standard deployment mechanisms within your organisation.

Use

Use of the 64-bit Edition of ScriptX is the same as the 32-bit edition, all class IDs and object names are the same.

Notes and known issues:

The 32-bit and 64-bit versions can co-exist on the same machine, however, if one is un-installed, the other will require re-installing.
Installing both editions and then creating a COM+ application for the 32-bit Edition will almost certainly not work.
Machine (including server-side) licenses and client licenses installed per machine are not shared between Editions and must be installed/accepted for each edition.
